The Lincolnshire Policy for Informal Carers Administration of As Required Subcutaneous Injections in Community Palliative Care

This Policy provides a safe framework for health care professionals, carers and patients to follow and enable informal carers to administer an agreed medication subcutaneously in the community.

Last updated: April 2024

The Lincolnshire Policy is supported by two types of resource packs available both for professionals and carers.

If you are a health care professional and you have identified a suitable carer where the policy could be considered please speak to the Specialist Palliative Care Team for further information.
